Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actress and producer. She has been recognized for her stellar performances in films including Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Piano, as well as The Incredibles. Holly Hunter won many awards and awards, among them the Oscar for her movie Piano. The talented actress began her career as an actor on the stage by performing in a myriad of Broadway as well as Off-Broadway productions. The actress has had a passion for acting ever since when she was in the school. The first time she appeared in a production in fifth grade was Helen Keller. The fifth grade was the year that following a bout of mumps, she lost hearing in her left ear. However, she did not allow that to stop her. In college she studied theatre and later moved from Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her dream. Hunter was stuck in an elevator with the playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They worked together to write Broadway Crimes of the Heart in which Hunter made her Broadway debut. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began to look for film roles. She landed one as an actress supporting the leading character Swing Shift. Her career spans more than 30 years, and she's been featured in a variety of TV films or series, as well as films. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and she also received an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
