Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter was an American actress, who gained fame due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. She has won many awards for her performance and has even won an Oscar. In her early years she began acting on stage in several Broadway or Off-Broadway productions. Enthusiastic about acting from her childhood, she performed Helen Keller in a play in the fifth grade. The actress was deaf in one ear due to Mumps, but she didn't let this disability dampen her determination to become an actress. She studied drama at college, and then moved from Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her dreams. Hunter was able to make her Broadway debut following an accidental conversation in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated for Broadway Crimes of the Heart. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began to search for film roles. Her first film role was in the role of an actress playing the main character in Swing Shift. In the years since, she has been in numerous films and television series and movies over a career spanning more than 30 years. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and the Women in Film Lucy Award.
